Job summary

Columbia Threadneedle Investments in Boston (or Charlotte) is seeking a Product Owner for an assigned product line. You will articulate strengths in the marketplace and support the sales process with timely market insights while leading large-scale projects and collaborating with sales, investment and marketing teams.

You will partner with Client Portfolio Managers and Investment Teams to set performance expectations, evaluate results, develop collateral, and drive product strategy.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of related experience.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with or lead across the organization to get results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using data to identify trends and issues and potential ways to address the issue.
• A confirmed familiarity of concepts related to assigned product and ability to explain these to others.
• Series 7, state securities agent registration (S63 or S66) and state IAR registration (S65 or S66) or the ability to acquire within a defined period (with support).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4 years).

Responsibilities

• Act as product owner for assigned product line, leading product advocacy efforts to drive market share gains.
• Partner with Client Portfolio Managers and the Investment Teams in representing strategies to prospects and clients, bringing product expertise and investment foresight.
• Work with the marketing group, develop marketing collateral including presentations, RFP/database content, and other relevant materials required to describe and position assigned strategies and teams.
• Other duties as needed, which may include activities such as supporting new product development activities, providing input into other product team projects and initiatives, and working with Thought Leadership pieces.
