Job summary

GEICO seeks a Senior Product Manager for Metadata Intelligence to own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for the Data Compass metadata platform and IntentIQ. You will ensure metadata is complete, trusted, searchable, and usable by employees and AI-powered experiences.

You will define how data means, where it lives, who owns it, and how it is retrieved in business and AI workflows, collaborating across product, engineering, governance, analytics, AI/ML, and domain steward teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product management experience.
• Experience with metadata management, data catalogs, business glossaries, or enterprise search.
• Ability to drive platform adoption among internal users.
• Experience defining product requirements for AI/ML-enabled capabilities such as metadata enrichment and semantic search.
• Proven ability to lead product execution across multiple engineering teams or organizational boundaries.
• Strong stakeholder management across multiple business domains with competing priorities.
• Experience with SQL query analysis, BI metadata, or usage analytics products.
• Experience with DataHub or comparable open-source / enterprise catalog platforms.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of Power BI metadata (DAX, M) or semantic layer / metric registry products.

Responsibilities

• Set the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for Metadata Intelligence including Data Catalog, metadata platform, enterprise search, business glossary, steward workflows, and IntentIQ.
• Prioritize work across discovery, metadata quality, search relevance, stewardship, and usage intelligence.
• Partner with engineering, analytics, governance, and AI teams to define clear product requirements.
• Write clear product requirements, success metrics, and acceptance criteria for Data Catalog, metadata, search, steward workflow, and IntentIQ capabilities.
• Lead IntentIQ from early concept to production with defined target users, priority use cases, and adoption goals.
• Collaborate with data stewards and data owners to improve metadata completeness and adoption across domains.
• Align with Compass AI Product Manager to define trusted knowledge base and quality measures.
• Partner with stakeholders to align metadata standards, certification, access controls, and classification needs.
• Conduct user research and steward engagement to understand pain points and drive improvement.
• Track progress through metrics like catalog adoption, search success, metadata quality, and reuse of trusted assets.
