Lead Product Manager, AI Governance

Job summary

UPS is seeking a senior product leader to define the strategy, roadmap, and platform vision for AI governance, GenAI, and intelligent-agent governance at scale.

You will own the multi-year governance roadmap, manage executive relationships to align governance with enterprise priorities, drive KPI-driven investments for platforms and tooling, and mentor senior product managers across Legal, Privacy, Security, Compliance, Enterprise Architecture, and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in AI/data governance, risk, product management for platforms and tooling, or technology strategy
• Experience leading enterprise governance programs, platform initiatives, or automation efforts
• Demonstrated experience setting strategy and roadmaps and influencing senior business and technical stakeholders
• Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and the AI lifecycle
• Direct experience building or scaling governance platforms and automation (IBM watsonx.governance or equivalent) preferred
• Working knowledge of AI Governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, and the EU AI Act) preferred
• Expertise in Agile and product/platform lifecycle management preferred
• Professional certifications such as IAPP AIGP, CIPP, or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience mentoring or leading teams in a governance or regulated environment preferred

• Define the strategy, roadmap, and platform vision for UPS AI, GenAI, and intelligent-agent governance at scale


• Own the multi-year roadmap for governance capabilities and evolution of the governance operating model


• Manage executive relationships to align governance with enterprise priorities


• Lead AI governance strategy, roadmap, and KPIs, and set investment priorities for platforms, automation, and tooling


• Drive governance operating-model evolution and replace manual work with automation


• Set platform capability direction across the AI lifecycle, including intake, risk assessment, monitoring, drift, incident response, change control, and retirement


• Define target-state workflows and automation that embed governance into AI development and deployment


• Anticipate emerging AI risk and regulation and shape the roadmap accordingly


• Govern the lifecycle of AI agents, reusable assets, prompts, models, and inventories


• Serve as enterprise owner for AI governance platforms and automation delivered through IBM watsonx.governance and broader governance tooling


• Mentor Senior Product Managers and cross-functional contributors
