Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Sr. Product Engineer to be based in Harvey, IL or Hobart, IN.

You will own product families, lead development and value engineering, and ensure engineering docs, BOMs, and data stay accurate and aligned with manufacturing and commercial needs. The ideal candidate holds a mechanical engineering degree with 5+ years in product engineering, and strong CAD skills (Autodesk Vault, Fusion, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in product engineering or related field.
• Experience with industrial electrical products, conduit, fittings, or durable goods preferred.
• Strong CAD capability with Autodesk tools and related PDM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical SME for conduit and fittings product families and guide stakeholders.
• Lead engineering workstreams for new product development from concept to launch.
• Own and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and product data with ERP integration.
• Lead or support ECOs, document control, and cross-functional communication.
• Provide mentorship and collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Operations.
