Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Product Engineer to join our team in Harvey, IL (or Hobart, IN). The role focuses on CAD design, 3D modeling, BOM development, and engineering documentation for conduit and fittings.

You will work closely with Senior Product Engineers, support ECOs, participate in design reviews, and help ensure data accuracy and governance across product lines. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 1–3 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
• CAD proficiency with Autodesk tools and SolidWorks/AutoCAD.
• Strong documentation and drawing control skills are essential.
• Familiarity with BOMs, PFMEA/DFMEA, and design validation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support CAD design, 3D modeling, drawing creation, and line art for conduit & fittings.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation including drawings and specifications.
• Assist with BOM creation and validation in ERP systems.
• Support ECO processes with documentation and implementation follow-up.
• Assist with new product development activities and launch readiness.
• Contribute to design reviews and data governance across teams.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Supply Chain on technical questions.
