The role emphasizes technical analysis, validation plans (DOE, testing), and clear reporting to stakeholders. Candidates should have a mechanical engineering degree, 3–7 years' product development experience, and proven cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 3–7 years of engineering experience in a product development environment.
• Experience as a design engineer on a cross-functional engineering team.
• Strong aptitude for problem solving and technical execution.
• Experience delivering products from ideation through commercialization using a gated design review process.
• Experience leveraging risk-based tools/processes i.e., FMEA, THA.

Responsibilities

• Lead design enhancements and product line extensions within assigned platforms.
• Translate product requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions with minimal supervision.
• Proactively identify design risks and drive mitigation strategies early in the development process.
• Analyze engineering data to support design decisions.
• Develop and execute validation plans, including testing, DOE, and capability studies.
• Create and present reports summarizing technical analysis and business viability to varied audiences.
