Job summary

Faire is seeking a Lead Product Designer to shape the product experience for thousands of retailers and brands. You’ll collaborate across research, engineering, product, and customer service, embedding in a product team to craft flows that move customers through Faire’s platform with confidence.

You’ll lead end-to-end design efforts, evolve the design system, and mentor peers while embracing a growth mindset. The role is based in SF or NYC with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience designing digital products and systems.
• Expertise in interaction design, visual craft, and systems thinking.
• Strong ability to connect design direction to business and customer outcomes.
• Comfort exploring and experimenting with new tools and workflows for rapid prototyping and AI-integrated design.
• A portfolio that demonstrates visionary product thinking, strong craft, and clear communication of impact.
• Experience contributing to and evolving large-scale design systems.
• A passion for collaboration and driving a culture of excellence in design.
• And, ideally, a sense of humor!

Responsibilities

• Define the direction by influencing what to build based on customer understanding and business context.
• Lead end-to-end design from discovery and rapid prototyping to polished execution.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and data teams to explore new paradigms.
• Tell stories that connect design vision to business and customer impact, aligning teams.
• Push Faire's design system forward through evolving patterns, motion, and visual language.
• Prototype fearlessly using modern tools to explore ideas and test assumptions.
• Elevate other designers by sharing craft, process, and storytelling approach.
