Job summary

84.51° is seeking a Lead Product Designer to shape product experiences through collaboration with product management and UX across web and mobile platforms. You will guide design direction and ensure user-centered solutions across cross-functional teams, driving innovative outcomes with data-driven insights.

You will lead by example, mentor teammates, and champion strong design practices, working with designers, developers, and product owners to deliver engaging experiences and impactful results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Product or UX designer
• Experience leading design and product direction for web and mobile software
• Cross-functional collaboration with data science, product and technology teams
• Agile experience
• Experience in service design
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to facilitate design sessions and present to stakeholders
• Experience creating user flows, low/high fidelity prototypes, production assets and documentation
• Education: BFA/BA/BS in Design or related field; Master’s in HCI a plus

As a Lead Product Designer, you'll make key decisions that shape the design of our products. Through partnership with product management, you'll be engaged in the strategic direction for how users experience 84.51° solutions. You'll be responsible to your cross-functional team for making great design happen in collaboration with other UX designers.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading the design and product direction of web and mobile software with a solid grasp of responsive design
• Experience working in a cross-functional team environment with data science, product and technology focused on solutions that might incorporate third part data products
• Agile experience
• Experience in service design
• Strong written and verbal communication skill
• Ability to facilitate design sessions and effectively present to stakeholders
• Experience in creating user flows, concept testing, low-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, production assets, and documentation
• Experience in facilitating forms of quantitative and qualitative user research (e.g. usability testing, card sorting, participatory design sessions, etc.)
• BFA/BA/BS degree in Design, Computer Science, or other related field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree in HCI, Human Factors or related field a plus.
