Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Lead Product Designer on the Design Systems team to evolve our AI-first design system across the product suite. You will collaborate with PMs, engineers, and other designers to ensure usable, accessible experiences.

You will mentor junior designers and advocate for inclusive design. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in product design with a strong portfolio in design systems, visual design, interaction design, and AI patterns.

• Lead the creation and maintenance of our next-gen design system, tools, and AI products that scale across Salesforce
• Contribute quality knowledge to the design system that is readable by both humans and machines
• Define and document design guidelines, best practices, and standards to ensure cohesive experiences
• Evolve the visual language & ease of use of Salesforce UI/UX
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, writers, and engineers to integrate the design system into product development workflows
• Partner with UX researchers to validate design decisions through user testing and feedback loops
• Mentor and coach junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and collaboration
• Advocate for accessibility and inclusivity within the design system to ensure all users have a seamless experience
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design systems

Experience / Skills required

• You’re a systems designer who is knowledgeable in leveraging and training AI to create quality experiences
• You’re equally comfortable in code and figma, you consider yourself more than just a designer, but also a design engineer
• You have expert visual design skills, and obsess over the details of any design
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of experience as a Product Designer, with a focus on design systems and UX/UI design
• A portfolio demonstrating a strong foundation in design systems, visual design, interaction design, and AI patterns/capabilities

The typical base salary range for this position is $172,500 - $260,100 annually.

In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $207,800 - $285,800 annually.

The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
