Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a senior leader to own the company-wide accessibility program within the Design Foundations team. You will combine strategy with hands-on product design to advocate for disabled people and remove barriers across customer journeys.

You will shape accessibility for web, mobile, desktop, voice, AI, and hardware while partnering with design, engineering, research, product, and legal teams to embed accessibility in our processes and culture.

Qualifications

• Deep accessibility knowledge with strong design craft.
• Led accessibility or inclusive-design work across multiple teams, products, or platforms.
• Understand WCAG, assistive technologies, and platform-specific standards.
• Embedded accessibility into design systems, reusable components, and engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Define OpenAI’s accessibility strategy, roadmap, governance, priorities, and measures of progress.
• Lead audits, remediation priorities, and launch readiness across platforms.
• Design and ship product experiences while identifying systemic barriers across journeys.
• Center disabled people through participatory research and usability studies.
