Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services seeks a Product Design Mechanical Engineer to own end-to-end design of electrical power distribution equipment such as LV switchgear and power distribution cabinets. Lead design from concept to production, define equipment specifications, and evaluate design changes to support AWS data centers.

The role requires roughly 30% travel to AWS offices, data centers, suppliers and validation sites, with mostly domestic travel and some international

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years leading product design, development, testing and manufacturing support of electronic components.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to move concepts to production.

Responsibilities

• Solicit customer input and define design requirements for product design.
• Lead new product design, development and qualification of electrical power distribution equipment for AWS data centers.
• Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, IEC and federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes across countries.
