Job summary

RBC Capital Markets LLC in Jersey City is seeking a Manager Product Control to support the Commodities trading desk with daily mark-to-market valuation, P&L reporting and reconciliations. You will liaise with Front Office, Middle Office and IT to ensure timely and accurate daily P&L production and robust controls.

The role requires 5+ years in capital markets trading support, strong Excel/SQL skills, and the ability to work under pressure while driving process improvements in valuation and risk

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Capital Markets environment, supporting a trading desk.
• Advanced MS Excel and SQL skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work effectively and reliably under pressure.
• Advanced understanding of procedures and operational controls as they relate to trading systems and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Daily P&L production, month-end reporting and reconciliation.
• Act as the primary point person for Front Office queries and issues and monitor, track, and complete tasks.
• Perform daily valuation and analyze MTM movements including new deals, amendments, cancellations, and changes in yield curves, volatilities, and time decay.
• Pro-actively monitor operational, valuation and risk management issues for trading portfolios.
• Communicate Daily, MTD and YTD results, compare P&L estimates vs. actuals, and obtain sign-off.
