Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Tennessee seeks a Regulatory/Compliance engineer to lead certification, listing, and regulatory approvals for the Enclosures Product Line. You will serve as SME for UL, DOT and testing compliance, guiding product development and lifecycle registrations.

You will own the full cycle of UL registrations, maintain documentation, monitor regulatory changes, collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing, and act as liaison with UL and certification agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline.
• Experience in product compliance, regulatory engineering, or quality.
• Experience working with third‑party test laboratories and certification bodies.
• Strong technical writing and communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of certification, listing, registration, and regulatory approvals for the full Enclosures Product Line.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for UL, DOT and all regulatory testing compliance requirements.
• Lead product compliance strategies during the new product development process.
• Own the full cycle for UL registration and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Submit and maintain required documentation for DOT compliance and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable transportation requirements.
• Evaluate, monitor regulatory changes, and assess impacts on existing and future products.
• Maintain technical files, certifications, declarations, and audit records.
• Support certification audits and regulatory inspections with CSA and UL.
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing teams to resolve compliance‑related issues.
• Develop compliance procedures, training materials, and best practices.
• Maintain testing documentation and ensure required testing is completed to support product registrations, certifications, and ongoing compliance requirements.
• Serve as the primary liaison and contact with UL, DOT, and certification agencies regarding compliance requirements, testing, and issue resolution.
