Job summary

Blue Cross NC in North Carolina is seeking a Principal Product Developer to design, develop, and implement large, complex programs within the Population Health Strategy Organization. The role focuses on improving population health, reducing costs, and enhancing customer experience, while serving as a thought leader for program ideation.

You will lead cross-functional teams, gather enterprise input, build business cases, and ensure regulatory alignment with NCQA standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required
In lieu of degree, 10+ years of related experience
Advanced degree preferred
At least two years cross-functional project and/or program management or development experience

Responsibilities

Gather input from across the enterprise to identify opportunities and design strategic healthcare solutions.
Develop business cases, strategy concept designs and business requirements.
Establish performance metrics and goals; ensure data collection and monitoring.
Lead cross-functional development team and coordinate interdepartmental functions to minimize delays.
Own and resolve issues within the program without delaying milestones.
Ensure programs meet NCQA Population Health Management accreditation standards and document compliance.
Identify audiences and deploy marketing strategy to engage members.
Develop budget impacts and secure stakeholder approvals.
Facilitate transition of programs to operational owners for ongoing management.
Lead vendor identification, evaluation, selection and contract negotiations.
