Job summary

Joe V's Smart Shop, a division of H-E-B, is seeking a Smart Shop Exempt Department Manager to oversee departmental operations across perishable, centre store, inventory flow, receiving, and shelf edge with emphasis in your area of expertise (e.g., produce, market, front end).

You will lead a large team, manage scheduling, review financials, ensure safety and quality, and collaborate with store leadership to align total store plans.

Qualifications

• Operational / Retail Management experience
• Leadership experience with multiple direct reports
• Thorough understanding of retail accounting
• Experience in ordering and inventory maintenance
• Shrink control knowledge

Responsibilities

• Oversee department operations including perishable, centre store, inventory flow and shelf edge
• Create weekly schedules and lead cross-functional teams
• Review financial and performance reports and identify opportunities
• Ensure safety, quality and compliance with policies
• Lead inventory flow team to maximize productivity
• Provide excellent customer service and partner relations
• Participate in store leadership planning
