You will lead a talented staff, optimize purchasing, and collaborate with the in-store team to showcase seasonal produce and maximize margins. Prior grocery/market experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Genuine love of vegetables and fruit
• Comprehensive knowledge of sustainable agriculture, including farm practices, seasonality, heirloom varieties
• Exemplary communication skills
• Commitment to customer service
• At least 2 years management experience
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Experience in grocery, farmer's market, or on a farm is a plus

Responsibilities

• Work closely with local farmers and distributors
• Minimize waste by accurate ordering and mindful product care
• Maintain margins to meet department sales goals
• Manage produce staff: tasks, training, scheduling, store decisions
• Collaborate with sign team to merchandise and promote products
