Founded in 2020, the company is headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, with additional facilities in Knoxville, Tennessee, Loveland Ohio, and Mount Vernon, Ohio. Beehive is committed to grow and advance the defense industrial base while manufacturing exclusively in the USA. This role can be located at our Englewood, Colorado or Loveland, Ohio facility.

Role Overview:

This role will partner with various cross-functional leadership on a daily basis facilitating purchase orders, supplier selection, terms negotiations, and process controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and a deep understanding of procurement processes and systems. In this role, you will lead procurement analysis, optimize data-driven decision-making, and ensure on time delivery to development manufacturing and assembly timelines. The scope of this role will be focused on development hardware procurement which is custom designed.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies through data analysis and with close alignment to Manufacturing Programs and Engineering team stakeholders.
  • Evaluate supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and procurement analytics.
  • Drive supplier relationship management through data-driven insights and strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Finance, Legal, Operations) to identify and address procurement system requirements and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure procurement practices are compliant with company policies, industry regulations, Department of Defense policies and legal requirements.
  • Work with engineering on hardware releases, drawing reviews, tolerances discussion. Must have basic GD&T knowledge.
  • Actively engage with vendors for quote submittal, understanding urgency of each item and appropriately conveying the importance to outside service partners to help ensure first time yield and on time delivery for critical path items. Ensuring component compliance to all certificates of conformance and drawing requirements .
  • Expedite hardware as needed to meet schedules including logistical support of hardware moving between sites and vendors
  • Project tracking of hardware supporting development engineering team including accurate Bill of Materials delivery dates, costs, next processing steps, ensure PO acceptance through delivery of hardware to Beehive facility with proper documentation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • At least 5-7 years relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, buying, and / or inventory planning in a technical purchasing role.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
  • Able to liaison with outside vendors, clear verbal and written communications.
  • Experience working in aerospace or industrial industries and fluent in government compliance regulations for sourcing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional relationships effectively.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to adapt to change and support the team in managing transformation.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $96,000- $162,000 base salary. Please note that wage information is a general guideline only, and we will consider factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market conditions when extending an offer.
