Job summary

Solenis is hiring a Lead VFA Senior Plant Operator to support safe, efficient production and startup activities for a new plant on site. The role reports to the Shift Supervisor and will evolve toward a rotating 12-hour shift after an initial Monday–Friday daytime period.

The position emphasizes meeting production goals, strong safety and environmental performance, and collaboration with Maintenance, Lab, Engineering, and Material Handling teams to maximize equipment performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; math skills helpful.
• Strong knowledge of hazardous chemical handling.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to follow directions and communicate across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant to meet productivity targets and handle chemical charges safely.
• Monitor process and adjust control parameters in the control systems.
• Conduct routine rounds and participate in shift turnover.
• Maintain process control to ensure First Pass Quality."
• Perform complete and detailed turnover and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
• Maintain and restock supplies and raw materials for the area.
• Ability to lift 55 pounds, walk, bend, climb stairs, and operate a forklift.
• Support safety reviews and act as backup to supervisor when needed.
• Create SAP process orders and maintenance work orders.
• Be involved in Safety Programs and training for team members.
