Job summary

Re:Build Optimation is seeking a Process and Mechanical Engineering Team Lead to guide a multidisciplinary group and directly support drafters and designers. The role reports to the Director of Process & Mechanical Engineering & Design and emphasizes end-to-end project delivery with high-quality outcomes.

You will allocate workloads, mentor staff, and lead recruiting and onboarding to maintain a high-performing team.

Qualifications

7-10+ years of experience in chemical, process and/or mechanical engineering.
Ability to balance workloads to meet deadlines and optimize capacity.
Experience estimating engineering design project costs and bids.
On-site availability at Rochester, NY and/or Rush, NY.
Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and team management skills.
Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D/3D and SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the process and mechanical engineering team.
Manage team workload allocation to optimize resource utilization and meet project demands.
Lead talent management including performance reviews, coaching, and professional development.
Drive recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and development of a high-performing team.
Collaborate with project managers and design & engineering leads to ensure successful project delivery.
