Job summary

Clayco is seeking a highly technical process engineering leader to drive complex industrial projects, mentoring junior staff and collaborating across disciplines to deliver safe, efficient process solutions.

You will lead PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications for pet food, meat processing and manufacturing, leveraging tools like AFT Fathom, HTRI, and lean practices within a fast-paced design-build environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 8–15+ years of industrial process engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, and process calculations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design for pet food, meat processing, and industrial manufacturing projects.
• Develop project scopes and basis documentation.
• Create and review PFDs, P&IDs, and material balances.
• Coordinate with discipline leads and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and support best practices.
