Job summary

Ferrara is seeking an experienced R&D Process Engineer in the Chicagoland area to organize, execute, and lead process development for the sugar confections portfolio, including renovation, innovation, quality improvement and new technologies with a focus on international network moves.

You will collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering and Packaging to scale up pilot and full-scale production, review documentation, design trials, and lead equipment installations while

Qualifications

• B.S. in Food Process Engineering or related field; MS/PE/PhD preferred.
• 5+ years in a CPG R&D or manufacturing role, confectionery preferred.
• Willingness to travel across facilities to support trials and manufacturing line tests.

Responsibilities

• Lead process development and implementation activities for the sugar confections portfolio.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and Packaging to scale up processes and launches.
• Plan, execute, and lead trials; provide technical recommendations and risk mitigation.
• Install/qualify production equipment and develop process documentation for handover to Operations.
