Job summary

Tower Semiconductor Ltd. in San Antonio, TX seeks an experienced process development engineer to lead process development, transfer, and improvement in a high-volume fab, delivering reliable technology solutions with tight cycle times.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with plasma tools, strong experimental skills, expertise in SPC/DOE, and ability to mentor technicians while collaborating with yield, process and equipment teams to enable ramp and manufacturability.

Qualifications

Must have MS/PhD or BS with 5+ years experience.
Major in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, materials science, or chemistry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to work in a team and solve difficult problems.
Experience with plasma tools and processes; vacuum technology knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead process development, transfer, and improvement initiatives in a high-volume fab.
Collaborate with process, integration, yield, and equipment teams to improve metrics such as SPC and defects.
Drive technology transfers and define projects for process development and improvement.
Supervise and mentor engineers and technicians in the fab environment.
