Job summary

ValSource Inc. is seeking a seasoned Process Engineer to lead capital projects for GMP Drug Substance and Drug Product. The role involves directing teams, coordinating vendors, and ensuring design, testing, and qualification activities are completed to client requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in pharma/biotech and experience with API, potent containment, CQV, and automation systems. On-site Rahway, NJ, full-time with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing with capital projects preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of GMP systems, API, potent containment, equipment qualification, and process operations.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, to improvise and resolve design issues.

Responsibilities

• Report to Process Engineering Manager and lead day-to-day operations at the client site.
• Lead on-site vendor coordination, logistics, and field testing.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams across Process Engineering, Automation, CQV, and others to drive capital projects.
• Collaborate with client SMEs for critical design decisions.
• Demonstrate strong writing, organization and communication skills.
• Manage quality, schedule, and cost within project limits.
• Provide technical leadership during safety assessments (PHA, HAZOP, LOPA) and CIP/SIP strategy development.
• Lead on-site SAT/IOC/IOQ execution at vendor and client sites.
