Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Manufacturing, Polymer or related engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience, including leadership of engineers or technical personnel.
• Experience in cable, wire, fiber optic, plastics extrusion, polymer processing, or similar continuous manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable process improvements and cost reductions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Process Engineers; set priorities and coach/onboard new team members.
• Provide technical leadership for extrusion, fiber handling, jacketing, armoring, rewinding and packaging; establish standards and control plans.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, cost improvements; reduce scrap, downtime and variability while boosting productivity.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions to resolve manufacturing issues and customer quality concerns.
• Industrialize new products; manage qualification trials, manufacturing readiness, and transfer to production with Product Engineering.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma and DMAIC projects; apply data analytics and establish KPIs.
• Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance; assist audits and ensure quality systems.
• Execute capital projects including equipment specification, FAT, installation, qualification and ROI analyses.
• Champion safety and sustainability; promote hazard assessments and risk reduction.
