Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or related occupation.
  • 3 years in Elsyca software, 2 years in Solidworks; experience in Aucos or similar plating software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new product launches and plating line improvements.
  • Use Elsyca software for troubleshooting and part validation.
  • Design racks for the plating line and develop QS9000 work instructions.
  • Lead and supervise Process Technicians to maintain plating quality and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental policies and 5-S in the workplace.
  • Travel domestically up to 20%.

Duties: Developing new product launches, utilizing Elsyca software for trouble shooting and part validation, and designing new racks for the plating line. Analyze plating solutions using wet chemistry and equipment. Develop strategic plans to ensure the maintenance of the plating equipment. Manage Plating Process Engineers in maintaining plating process as needed. Develop QS9000 work instructions for the plating department. Develop standards for current and future plating activities including but not limited to process improvement, process standardization, line design, and cost reduction. Responsible for following all environmental policies, procedures, work instructions and requirements applicable to the role, including the proper use of personal protective equipment. Responsible for immediately reporting to management all environmental concerns related to work being carried out, as well as, all incidents, which present a hazard to people, production, or the environment. Define process limits based on experimentation and analysis. Develop new processes, methods, and layouts to increase equipment flexibility and improve manufacturing yields. Observe and comply with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations associated with this job. Aid plating manager in identifying training needs. Promote and maintain 5-S to ensure an organized, clean, and work safe area. Supervise the Process Technicians that oversee the Plating line to ensure quality and quantity of plated product required. Ensure Process Technicians are operating the plating line in a safe manner and effectively keeping the process baths within specification. Also oversee and manage repair and preventative maintenance requirements of the Process Technicians.

Domestic (U.S.) travel required up to 20%.

Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or in a Lead Process Engineer - related occupation.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in all the following:

  • Elsyca software
  • Aucos or similar plating software
  • Minitab Statistical Analysis Software
  • Must also have 2 years of experience in Solidworks or similar CAD software.

Domestic (U.S.) travel required up to 20%
