Job summary

Bayer in Missouri/Kansas City seeks a skilled Process Control Engineer to lead site automation, digital manufacturing, and software governance, ensuring safe, reliable operations and long-term system sustainability.

You will standardize controls practices, mentor teams, and collaborate with engineering, OT, and manufacturing data platforms to boost performance while reducing risk. A strong background in DeltaV/PLC and ISA-88 is required, with relocation possible and no visa sponsorship offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with at least 10 years of manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in DeltaV and PLC configuration, programming, troubleshooting, and process control systems.
• Working knowledge of ISA-88 batch processing principles.
• Strong customer focus with effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the site Subject Matter Expert for process control software technologies, guiding operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.
• Execute and manage process control software projects from concept through startup, including oversight of external resources.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for control systems and manufacturing data platforms.
• Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement through software-based enhancements.
• Develop internal capability through coaching, mentoring, and technical training on process control systems.
