Applica is seeking a Process Controls Engineer to support daily operation and optimization of chemical processing units. You will develop DCS control strategies, tune loops, and pursue advanced process control opportunities to improve performance and reliability.
In this role you will manage alarms, provide PLC/SIS support, and collaborate with operations and process engineering on production, quality, energy, and reliability improvements across facilities.
The company is a global chemical manufacturer with operations across the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia, serving a wide range of markets including industrial, consumer, automotive, construction, and packaging. It is known for strong technical expertise, operational excellence, and commitment to high-quality manufacturing standards.
You have minimum 5 years hands-on process controls experience within a petrochemical, refining, or chemical manufacturing facility, with strong working knowledge of both Foxboro and DeltaV. You may currently be working as a Process Control, Automation, Controls, Process, or Production Engineer, but your background includes directly developing, modifying, troubleshooting, or tuning control strategies - not only operating or monitoring the systems.
You would support the day-to-day operation and optimization of assigned processing units, including DCS control strategy development, loop tuning, advanced process control, alarm management, PLC/SIS support, and operator graphics. The role also works closely with operations and process engineering on production, quality, energy, and reliability improvement.
