Job summary

Amazon Security is seeking a Sr. Security Engineer to validate that services, applications, and websites meet the highest security standards. You will analyze the security of applications, address issues, and build security automation while mentoring others.

The role covers threat modeling, code reviews, security testing, and outreach to internal teams. You will contribute to security guidance, metrics, and process improvements across cloud, devices, and services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience across application security, IAM, incident response, mobile security, cloud security, AI security, threat intelligence and penetration testing.
• 5+ years of full secure software development life cycle with coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes and testing.
• 4+ years of scripting and programming with security code review in common languages.
• Knowledge of at least two languages: Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in identifying security issues, risks and mitigation plans.
• Experience with security vulnerabilities, attack patterns and remediation techniques.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and remediation techniques.
• Knowledge of basic networking and network security concepts.
