Job summary

Apple Inc. seeks a Principal Engineer to own privacy architecture for Wallet, Payments, and Commerce engineering in Cupertino.

You will define how data is collected, processed, retained, and protected across a global, regulated ecosystem, including consent, minimization, and logging architecture. You will lead a multi-year roadmap with Privacy Compliance teams, partnering with central privacy groups to meet GDPR, CCPA, and emerging standards while guiding senior leadership on regulatory

Qualifications

• 12+ years in privacy engineering, security engineering, or architecture.
• Deep expertise in privacy engineering and global regulations.
• Track record of defining standards across large orgs.
• Ability to align legal, product, and engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own WPC's privacy architecture and multi-year roadmap.
• Make privacy-by-design the default across design to launch.
• Design a centralized privacy engineering framework and drive adoption.
• Architect WPC's logging/telemetry for privacy and compliance.
• Define PIA methodology, risk taxonomy, control standards, monitoring.
• Resolve high-risk privacy decisions and remediation strategies.
• Interface with Apple's Privacy org and legal counsel; brief leadership.
