Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead complex network solutions across WAN/LAN/WLAN, security, and virtualization. You will mentor the Network Engineering team, drive design and implementation of client projects, and collaborate with PMO, product development, and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
• Ability to lead and drive projects to completion with strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer on multiple large projects with cross-functional collaboration across stakeholders.
• Design and implement complex network solutions including WAN/LAN/WLAN, security, and virtualization.
• Provide mentorship, technical training, and escalation support for engineering teams.
• Act as escalation engineer for Tier 3 customer incidents and coordinate with internal/external delivery teams.
