Job summary

Stratus® is seeking a Principal Engineer (PE) to provide senior technical leadership on major engineering projects. Lead the design, analysis, and construction while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring regulatory and client standards are met.

The role requires ABET-accredited engineering credentials, a PE license, and 10–15 years of experience in engineering design and project management. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with degree from ABET-accredited program.
• 10-15 years of experience in engineering design and project management.
• Proven leadership and mentoring ability for junior engineers and project teams.
• Ability to lead large-scale engineering projects and provide expert technical guidance.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex engineering projects with expert guidance.
• Provide leadership for a multidisciplinary team of MEP engineers.
• Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, and reports meeting standards.
• Serve as primary technical expert on projects; resolve design challenges.
• Mentor junior engineers and uphold technical excellence.
• Conduct quality control reviews at milestones to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants for integrated designs.
• Oversee construction administration: submittals, site visits, and issue resolution.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to meet client needs.
• Stay current with industry advancements and incorporate new solutions.
• Contribute to business development through proposals and client demos.
