Job summary

Hobbsnews is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the engineering strategy for the Global Markets Generative AI platform. This role involves developing innovative designs and collaborating with various teams to ensure scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in machine learning, data analytics, and AI, along with advanced proficiency in Python. This position offers a salary range of $156,500 to $230,000 based on experience and includes competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Machine Learning, Data Analytics, AI.
• Experience implementing Generative AI solutions highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Generative AI and machine learning frameworks, products, and tools.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing multi-tier application platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, including REST API development.
• In-depth knowledge of databases and large dataset processing.
• Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop the engineering approach for the Global Markets Generative AI platform.
• Lead planning and definition of complex features spanning multiple teams.
• Provide technical oversight for teams, including design reviews.
• Collaborate with Sales & Trading and Quantitative teams.
• Identify and implement applications with scalability requirements.
• Develop architectural approaches for Generative AI software.
