Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Lead Principal Software Engineer for Core Infrastructure in Seattle, WA. You will drive architecture and execution for OCI's Kubernetes platform, OKE, focusing on cluster lifecycle, scalability, and reliable operations across OCI regions.

The role requires deep Kubernetes expertise, strong Go and Java skills, and a track record of leading complex cross-team initiatives. You will collaborate with OCI infrastructure services, apply advanced debugging and performance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent.
• Cloud infrastructure experience designing, building, operating, or debugging production services on OCI/AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Strong Kubernetes expertise across architecture, APIs, control plane, scheduling, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for major OKE platform initiatives from architecture to production.
• Design and build distributed systems to create, update, scale, and operate Kubernetes clusters across OCI regions.
• Improve OKE reliability, scalability, performance, and observability.
• Lead reviews and incident retrospectives for complex service changes.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across the OKE organization.
