Job summary

SFP Health Group seeks a Lead Referral Coordinator – Primary Care in Kissimmee, FL. You will oversee the referral department, ensuring accurate, timely processing of patient referrals, while coordinating with providers, patients, and insurers to keep patients in-network and within the preferred network.

You will supervise coordinators and manage workflows across Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Commercial lines, implementing process improvements to enhance service quality and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of referral coordination experience in primary care or multi-specialty healthcare.
• Experience managing referrals for Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Commercial, Workers’ Compensation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily activities of Referral Coordinators, assigning workload and monitoring performance.
• Oversee scheduling of patient referrals to specialists and external providers, ensuring timely delivery.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits across lines of business and coordinate prior authorizations as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance, conduct audits, and provide leadership with referral trend reports.
