Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required; non-citizens considered only as permitted by VA policy
• MD/DO degree from an approved medical school
• Full, unrestricted medical license in the United States or District of Columbia
• Residency training in an ACGME/AOA-approved core specialty with board eligibility
• Board certification preferred for faculty status

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to a defined panel of Veterans
• Lead a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) with staff such as nurses and clerical associates
• Perform history taking, physical exams, order labs, diagnose and treat acute/chronic conditions
• Coordinate care with specialists and document care in the medical record
• Contribute to quality improvement and meet VA performance measures
