Job summary

Next Level Medical in Austin, TX is seeking a physician to provide primary and episodic care in collaboration with a clinical team. You will manage patient flow, emphasize health promotion, and coordinate care with other professionals.

The role requires MD/DO, TX license, DEA, and BLS, with strong communication skills and clinical experience in urgent care or ambulatory settings. You will supervise NPs/PAs and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Valid Texas Medical License.
• Board Certified.
• Unrestricted DEA license.
• BLS certification.
• DOT certification within 2 months of hire.
• Clinical experience in emergency/urgent care or ambulatory clinic setting preferred.
• Outstanding knowledge of medications, side effects and contraindications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and episodic care to patients independently and with other medical professionals.
• Ensure efficient and smooth patient visit experience.
• Perform complete physical exams and assess urgent, emergent and non-urgent presentations.
• Order, perform, and interpret tests and procedures to inform plan of care.
• Define/document differential diagnoses and formulate the treatment plan.
• Prescribe medications and explain correct usage to patients.
• Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
