Job summary

Next Level Medical in Austin, TX seeks a Physician Assistant to provide primary and episodic care independently and with the clinical team. You will follow standards set by the Chief Medical Officer and supervising physician, manage patient flow, and promote health through education and coordinated care.

This role involves performing exams, ordering tests, documenting diagnoses, prescribing medications, and upholding safety and infection control.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited program for Physician Assistants
• State licensure as a Physician Assistant
• National board certification (NCCPA)
• DEA license with no restrictions
• Clinical experience in an emergency, urgent care or ambulatory clinic setting
• BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provides primary and episodic care to patients – independently and with other medical professionals – following standards set by the supervising physician.
• Maintains patient flow and maximizes delivery of quality care to patients.
• Emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention through patient education and coordination of care.
• Prescribes dosages and instructs patients in correct usage.
• Performs complete physical exams and assessments, including urgent, emergent and non-urgent presentations.
• Interprets data and diagnostic results to determine appropriate action in collaboration with the supervising physician.
