University of Southern California is seeking a Physician to provide direct and indirect patient care for a high-risk patient population at the Culinary Health Center and Durango Clinic. The role covers supervision of physician assistants and nurse practitioners when needed, with focus on comprehensive medical management and care transitions.

The candidate must hold an MD or DO, complete residency, and possess current state licensure.

Qualificações

• MD or DO with residency training.
• Experience providing primary care in a clinical setting.
• Experience with post-acute care transitions for complex diagnoses.
• Ability to diagnose, treat, and counsel patients.
• Ability to analyze situations and take appropriate actions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with physicians, nurses and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Experience collaborating with specialists to assess health conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Provides and manages direct patient care including examinations, evaluations and treatment.
• Maintains accurate medical records and prepares required reports.
• Counsels on medical and psychological issues and refers patients for further care.
• Prescribes medications and treatment regimens as appropriate.
• Collaborates with care teams and oversees multi-disciplinary care for high-risk patients.
• Drives adherence to policies, QA, safety and infection control standards.
• Supports health promotion and preventive programs as needed.
• Maintains licenses and stays current in the field.
