Job summary

Great Hearts Academies’ Young Hearts Preschool seeks a Lead Teacher who will report to the School Director and be responsible for the students assigned to them in education, supervision, assessment, and parent communication.

The role requires adhering to licensing, pursuing NAEYC accreditation, maintaining safety, conducting conferences, and using The Creative Curriculum and Gold Strategies to deliver lessons; occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• CDA or higher preferred; associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a licensed preschool program.
• Must meet Lead Teacher qualifications per licensing; CPR/First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Follow quality assurance measures to maintain program excellence.
• Work to achieve and maintain NAEYC accreditation.
• Maintain regular communications with School Director, Assistant Director, and parents.
• Escalate incident reports to the School Director.
• Maintain a safe environment and adhere to policies.
• Attend monthly meetings and participate in professional development.
• Deliver lessons using The Creative Curriculum and Gold Strategies.
• Hold parent conferences twice a year.
