Job summary

The Goddard School in Brookfield is currently interviewing for a Lead Teacher in one of our preschool classrooms. Lead teachers must be degreed and bring a positive, dependable, caring attitude.

Two years or more experience in Early Childhood Education is preferred, with a focus on creating a safe and nurturing learning environment. Lead teachers work closely with an Assistant Teacher and the full faculty to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and ensure adherence to safety

Qualifications

• A Lead Teacher must meet state qualifications and national standards for hiring.
• Two years or more experience in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment.
• Design room arrangements to support development and learning goals.
• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom management systems.
• Ensure classroom equipment is well maintained and safety procedures are followed.
• Interact with children to support play, exploration and learning and promote language development.
• Communicate professionally with families and maintain family relations.
