Job summary

Valley of the Sun YMCA in Phoenix is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher to coordinate curriculum for children ages 1 to 5, interact with families, and supervise program staff at a designated site.

This full-time role requires 3+ years in childcare, an associate degree or current enrollment in a bachelor’s program, and fingerprint clearance with TB testing. Benefits include health coverage, a retirement plan, paid vacation and sick leave, and a YMCA family membership.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 or older.
• Must enjoy working with children.
• Fingerprint clearance card and TB negative or ability to obtain.
• Associates degree or current enrollment in a bachelor’s program.
• Minimum of 3 years of qualifying experience in childcare with 6 credit hours in childcare or 60 training hours.

Responsibilities

• Interact with children through activities and lesson plans.
• Create lasting memories for each child, each day.
• Plan and implement lesson plans.
• Oversee preschool staff and all activities.

Education

Associates degree and/or currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's program
