Job summary

Town of Brookline seeks a full-time Lead Preschool Teacher for the Soule Center in Brookline. You will develop relationships with families, collaborate with staff, and support ongoing professional development to provide a nurturing learning environment for children aged 2.9 to 5 years.

Qualifications

• Two years experience as an early childhood teacher.
• CPR and First Aid is required.
• Strong understanding of EEC licensing regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and maintain developmentally appropriate classrooms and materials.
• Lead curriculum development and daily activities; ensure safety and well-being.
• Support classroom adjustment and positive peer relationships.
• Promote positive discipline aligned with EEC standards and policies.
• Supervise toileting routines and maintain attendance records.
• Conduct developmental observations and collaborate with specialists as needed.
• Lead parent conferences twice yearly and maintain child portfolios.
• Foster open communication with families and participate in staff meetings.
