Job summary

ChildCareGroup in Mesquite, TX is hiring a Lead Preschool Teacher to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program for children ages 3-5. You will collaborate with a co-teacher to create engaging learning centers and deliver lessons aligned with Head Start Performance Standards and NAEYC criteria.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Child Development or related field and experience with young children.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate desire to work with young children, have general knowledge of normal growth and development.
• Must demonstrate prompt and regular attendance.
• Must agree with agency goals and philosophy and work within their framework.

Responsibilities

• Manage classroom environment with a co-teacher to meet goals.
• Provide an attractive physical environment with learning centers for preschool children.
• Plan, prepare, and implement curriculum; complete child assessments and maintain records.
• Use LAP-3 data to tailor activities to each child's development.
• Submit reports and lesson plans in a timely manner.
• Develop positive relations with children, families, and staff; represent CCG positively.
• Conduct parent meetings and conferences as required.
• Ensure safety and sanitation standards are maintained.
