Job summary

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a Teacher I to lead classroom activities for preschool and early childhood programs in the Head Start/Early Head Start setting. You will plan and implement engaging lessons, maintain safety, and work closely with families to support child development.

The role emphasizes adherence to Florida VPK standards, strong communication with parents, and collaboration with the Center Director and health staff. Experience in early childhood education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Standards.
• Ability to implement developmentally appropriate practices for preschoolers.
• Proficiency in planning and assessing early childhood education activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily lesson plans for preschool or infants/toddlers.
• Arrange classrooms to promote learning areas.
• Monitor health and safety during activities and transitions.
• Communicate progress with Parents and Center Director.
• Coordinate field trips and manage supplies for classroom.
