Job summary

New Direction Church/Little Duckling Daycare II in Indianapolis seeks a passionate Lead or Assistant Pre-School Teacher to create a nurturing, fun learning environment for three- and four-year-olds while meeting state licensing and accreditation standards.

You will collaborate with a co-teacher, implement engaging lesson plans, support families with updates, ensure safety, and promote social-emotional development as part of our Four Core Values.

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood education, especially with preschoolers.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt activities as needed.
• Dependable with good attendance and reliability.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and collaborative skills with parents and team.

Responsibilities

• Create a Fun & Engaging Environment by helping build a classroom where children are excited to learn and explore.
• Support Co-Teacher & Team to maintain a cohesive, supportive environment.
• Follow State Criteria & Standards to ensure licensing compliance and policy adherence.
• Assist in Lesson Implementation by helping execute plans and adapting activities to children's needs.
• Promote Developmental Growth through hands-on activities supporting physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Communicate with Parents by providing updates on children's progress and experiences.
• Ensure Safety & Well-Being by supervising children and maintaining a safe learning environment.
