Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CDA preferred.
• 1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in licensed childcare or preschool.
• Has completed state-required pre-service training.
• Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Classroom Management: Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom.
• Family Communication: Maintain open and positive communication with families about progress and activities.
• Health and Safety: Supervise children to uphold health, safety and licensing standards.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing development and training opportunities.
• Assessment and Documentation: Observe and document children’s learning to inform activities.
• Team Collaboration: Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers.
• Behavior Guidance: Model positive guidance strategies for social-emotional growth.
