Piedmont YMCA seeks a Lead Teacher at the Early Learning Center in Charlottesville, VA. You will plan, manage, and supervise the classroom, ensuring health, safety, and development across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains. You’ll help children prepare for school and life within our community.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in developmental settings.
• Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Participation in required in-service training (16 hours) annually.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements daily lesson/activity plans.
• Adheres to safety and cleanliness standards.
• Supervises children, classroom, and activities.
• Maintains positive relationships with parents and conducts conferences.
