Role: Lead 2.5-year-olds Teacher

This is a full-time position, 8:30-5:30. Students are between 2-3 years of age and may need assistance with potty training consistency. Some lesson planning is required. We pride ourselves on positive interactions with both students and parents.

An associate's degree or TCC/CDA is required for the position.

Job Description

As a Discovery Point Childcare Lead Teacher, you will:

• Plan lessons and instruct children in activities according to the approved curriculum to promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.
• Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
• Promote and participate in all center functions.
• Communicate with and develop positive relationships with families.

Childcare Lead Teacher Duties

• Implement weekly curricula addressing all learning goals.
• Provide guidance to other staff in the classroom.
• Organize and adhere to a daily schedule.
• Follow all State and Discovery Point policies and regulations.
• Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and management.
• Maintain a welcoming, positive classroom atmosphere.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the classroom at all times.

Qualifications

• Meet state licensing requirements for education and experience.
• Knowledge of early childhood education and curriculum.
• Knowledge of child care licensing rules and regulations.
• Ability to obtain CPR/Fire Safety and other required training.
• CDA or degree in ECE.
• Meet state background check requirements.
