Role and Qualifications:

Our Lead Teachers coordinate daily classroom operations, plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities, and work directly with children and parents to ensure quality service.

Educational Qualifications:

• A CDA or
• Some college credits in any field with a commitment to complete 6 hours of Early Childhood Education courses within a year (we cover costs!), or
• 2+ years of experience in a licensed early childhood center, or
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment
• Support social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
• Plan activities to develop self-esteem and social skills
• Respect cultural and ethnic diversity
• Build positive family relationships
• Maintain individual portfolios for each child
• Use assessment tools to monitor progress
• Participate in meetings and professional development
