Job Title: Lead Teacher (8:30 am - 5:30 pm or 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM, Monday - Friday)

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Full-Time Childcare Teacher to join our dedicated team at The Learning Experience. This position will involve working with children aged six weeks to six years, implementing our comprehensive curriculum, and creating a positive, supportive classroom environment. The Childcare Teacher will be responsible for guiding children’s learning and development through play-based activities while ensuring their safety, well-being, and happiness throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years.
  2. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities based on the curriculum and individual developmental needs of children.
  3. Foster children’s emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development through guided play, creative activities, and hands-on learning experiences.
  4. Engage with children in group activities, one-on-one interactions, and outdoor play to encourage their curiosity, communication, and motor skills.
  5. Support children's daily routines, including meals, naps, bathroom routines, and other needs as necessary.
  6. Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, providing updates on children's progress, behavior, and daily experiences.
  7. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, ensuring all materials and equipment are properly sanitized and in good condition.
  8. Observe and document children’s development and behavior, keeping accurate records to inform parent-teacher conferences and developmental assessments.
  9. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to maintain a positive, cooperative, and team-oriented atmosphere.
  10. Adhere to all company policies, safety guidelines, and state regulations for childcare facilities.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred).
  2. Meets DCFS Lead Teacher Guidelines of a minimum of 30 hours of college with 6 being related to Early Childhood Education or related coursework.
  3. Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  4. Strong knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  6. Ability to engage and build positive relationships with children and their families.
  7. Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences.
  8. Reliable, punctual, and responsible with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. Must pass a background check and meet all required state and company licensing standards.
Work Hours:
  1. Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM or 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM
